Pronunciation & alphabet
Spanish is phonetic, so you read aloud correctly within the first week.
Spanish language learning in Dubai, built for people heading to a Spanish university. Most public universities in Spain now require B2, and the PCE entrance exams are sat entirely in Spanish. We take you from A1 to that standard with native trainers, in Bur Dubai or live online.
Spanish follows the CEFR scale, the same framework used across Europe. Each level runs for 40 hours. However, you begin where you already are, because a short placement chat in the free demo sets your starting point.
Greet people and introduce yourself. Order food, ask prices, and handle numbers and time with ease.
Next, you manage shopping, directions and travel. You also talk about your routine and your work.
Now you hold proper conversations, describe plans, and explain opinions. Also the level most residency routes ask for.
At this point you work in Spanish. You follow meetings, argue a case, and read the news comfortably.
By now you study or present in Spanish. You also catch humour, idiom and regional differences.
Finally, near-native command. You write with precision and handle any subject without hesitation.
Spanish is among the quickest languages for English speakers to learn. The US Foreign Service Institute places it in its easiest group, at roughly 600 to 750 class hours for professional working proficiency.
This is the reason most of our students walk in. Spain offers affordable, respected degrees, but the language requirement catches people out, and it catches them out late.
For Spanish-taught degrees, most public universities now set B2 as a hard entry condition. B1 is enough for daily life in Spain. However, it does not carry you through lectures, seminars and written exams, which is precisely why the bar sits where it does.
Universities verify your certificate through UNEDasiss, the national accreditation platform. So an informal course certificate will not do. You need DELE or SIELE at the right level.
Non-EU applicants usually sit the PCE, the Pruebas de Competencias Específicas, through UNEDasiss. These are subject exams rather than language exams. Even so, they are written entirely in Spanish.
Marking is unforgiving about language. Examiners deduct for errors in spelling, accents, punctuation and grammar, and those deductions are not capped. Consequently, strong written Spanish protects your subject marks as much as your subject revision does.
Reaching B2 from zero takes roughly 160 hours of class time with us, plus your own practice between sessions. DELE results then take two to three months, while SIELE returns in about three weeks.
Therefore, if you are applying for a September intake, starting Spanish twelve to eighteen months ahead is comfortable. Starting six months ahead means an intensive schedule and a SIELE booking rather than DELE.
Entry rules differ by university, by region and by degree, and they change. Always confirm the current requirement with the university and with UNEDasiss before you book an exam.
Our Spanish courses build speaking, listening, reading and writing together. More importantly, you speak from the first class rather than waiting until you feel ready.
Spanish rewards that approach. The spelling is phonetic, so you can read aloud accurately within days. Therefore progress feels quick early on, which keeps people coming back.
Spanish is phonetic, so you read aloud correctly within the first week.
Meet people, give your name and job, and then exchange details.
The classic hurdle. Two verbs for "to be", finally made simple.
Prices, dates, appointments, and also the phrases you need when shopping.
Restaurants, taxis, directions, and the small talk that builds friendships.
Regular and irregular verbs, plus the patterns that make them predictable.
Pretérito versus imperfecto, taught by use rather than by rule tables.
Learners fear it. In practice, it follows a handful of clear triggers.
Spain and Latin America side by side, so both accents sound familiar.
Full mock papers under timed conditions, and then examiner-style feedback.
A native speaker leads every class. Furthermore, our trainers have taught adults in Dubai for years, and they have guided many students through the DELE papers.
Grammar gets explained in plain English first. After that, more of each lesson runs in Spanish, which is exactly how the speaking papers are assessed.

Evening batches start after office hours, while weekend batches run on Saturday mornings. If you live further out in Marina, JVC, Silicon Oasis or Sharjah, the online batch gives you the same trainer and the same materials without the commute.
Spanish is the second most spoken native language on earth, with more than 500 million native speakers across 21 countries. Moreover, it is one of the easiest major languages for an English speaker to reach fluency in.
Spanish public universities charge a fraction of UK or US tuition, and Spain is a popular destination for UAE students. Degrees taught in Spanish ask for B2, so the language decides the application.
Spain attracts a steady stream of UAE residents for work, study and relocation. Applicants for Spanish nationality generally need DELE A2 plus the CCSE test, although Ibero-American nationals are exempt.
Dubai hotels, airlines and attractions serve Spanish-speaking visitors every day. As a result, Spanish regularly appears as a preferred language on cabin crew and guest-relations roles.
Dubai keeps deepening its commercial links with Mexico, Colombia, Chile and Argentina. For anyone in logistics, commodities or sourcing, Spanish opens doors that English alone leaves shut.
The US Foreign Service Institute groups Spanish with the quickest languages for English speakers, at roughly 600 to 750 class hours. Consequently, B2 is a realistic target inside one academic year.
Spanish unlocks film, music, literature and football without subtitles. Admittedly that is not a career reason. Even so, it is why most learners stick with it long enough to get fluent.
For an English speaker, yes, and for three concrete reasons. First, the spelling is phonetic, so words sound the way they look. Second, English already shares thousands of Latin-rooted words with Spanish, which means your vocabulary starts larger than you think.
Third, the sentence structure is close to English. You will not wait, as German learners do, for a verb to arrive at the end of a clause.
That said, two things do take practice. Spanish uses two verbs where English uses one for "to be", and the subjunctive mood has no neat English equivalent. Both are taught properly here rather than skipped.
Both certificates are official and both map to the CEFR scale. However, they differ in who issues them, how long they last, and how quickly results arrive.
Issued by the Instituto Cervantes on behalf of Spain's Ministry of Education. It covers A1 to C2, never expires, and results take roughly two to three months.
SIELE is sat on a computer and graded within about three weeks. It reaches up to C1, and it stays valid for five years rather than for life.
A separate test of constitutional and cultural knowledge, also run by the Instituto Cervantes. Nationality applicants normally sit it alongside DELE A2.
| Your goal | Level usually required | Exam | Hours with us |
|---|---|---|---|
| Travel and everyday courtesy | A1 | DELE A1 / SIELE | 40 |
| Spanish nationality application | A2 | DELE A2 + CCSE | 80 |
| Living and working in Spain | B1 | DELE B1 / SIELE | 120 |
| Professional roles, client-facing work | B2 | DELE B2 / SIELE | 160 |
| University study in Spain | B2 | DELE B2 / SIELE | 160 |
| Academic and specialist fluency | C1–C2 | DELE C1 or C2 | 200–240 |
Hours are a planning guide rather than a promise, because progress depends on how much you practise between sessions.
Requirements are set by the receiving side, not by us. So confirm yours in writing first, whether that is a university, an employer or a consulate. Then bring it to your free demo, and we will map it to a level and a realistic exam date.
People search for Spanish language learning in Dubai for very different reasons. Some need DELE A2 for a nationality file. Others want B2 for a role, or simply want to stop freezing on holiday.
A single generic class rarely serves all of those. Neither does an app, which builds recognition but almost never builds speech. Therefore we built this course around outcomes instead.
Because Spanish pronunciation is so regular, there is no reason to delay speaking. Our trainers get you talking in the first session, and then correct you as you go.
Ser versus estar, and the subjunctive, are where most self-taught learners stall. Instead of handing you a chart, we drill them in real situations until the right form simply sounds correct.
Pick a weekday evening batch, a Saturday morning group, or live online sessions from anywhere in the UAE. One-to-one coaching aimed at a fixed DELE date is available too. Either way, the syllabus and the trainers stay the same.
Course fees depend on three things: the level you start at, the format you pick, and how many hours you book. Group batches cost less per hour than one-to-one coaching, while online and in-centre sessions are priced the same. In other words, the format drives most of the difference.
Every fee we quote includes your course material and the KHDA-approved certificate. Nothing is added later.
DELE and SIELE examination fees sit outside the course fee, because you pay those directly to the exam centre when you register. We confirm the current amount beforehand, so there are no surprises.
Because batch fees move with intake size and start date, we quote them on request rather than publish a figure that goes stale. Message us on WhatsApp, and you will have the current fee and the next start date the same day.
Flexible payment options are available on longer programmes. If you are working toward B2 and want to spread the cost across levels, just say so when you enquire.
Four steps, and the first two cost you nothing.
First, message us on WhatsApp or call. Say whether you need Spanish for work, nationality, study or travel.
Then meet the trainer and try a real session. A short placement chat confirms your starting level.
Weekday evenings, Saturday mornings, live online, or one-to-one sessions around your schedule.
Begin your level. Afterwards, we register you for DELE or SIELE once you pass mock papers consistently.
Fees depend on your level and your format: group, live online, or one to one. Every fee includes course material and the KHDA-approved certificate. Message us on WhatsApp, and we will send the current fee and the next batch date the same day. DELE and SIELE exam fees are paid separately to the exam centre.
Our centre sits in Bur Dubai, a short walk from Sharaf DG Metro Station. Therefore it keeps us within easy reach of Al Mankhool, Oud Metha, Karama, Satwa, Deira and Business Bay. Online classes are open to students anywhere in Dubai and the wider UAE.
Each level takes about 40 hours of class time, so A1 usually finishes in six to eight weeks on weekday evenings. Reaching B2, the level most employers want, typically means around 160 hours in total. Alternatively, an intensive batch gets you there sooner.
We teach standard Spanish, which both regions understand without difficulty. However, we also point out the differences in vocabulary, pronunciation and the use of vosotros as they come up. So you will be comfortable in Madrid and in Mexico City alike.
Most public universities require B2 for degrees taught in Spanish, and they verify it through UNEDasiss. B1 is rarely enough. From a standing start, B2 takes roughly 160 hours of class time with us, so plan twelve to eighteen months ahead of a September intake.
Yes. The PCE subject exams are written entirely in Spanish, and examiners deduct marks for errors in spelling, accents, punctuation and grammar. Therefore we build academic writing into the B1 and B2 levels rather than treating it as an extra.
Both are accepted. DELE never expires and carries the most prestige, but results take two to three months. SIELE is computer-based, returns in about three weeks, and stays valid for five years. So if your deadline is tight, SIELE is usually the safer booking.
Applicants normally need DELE A2 together with the CCSE test of constitutional and cultural knowledge. Ibero-American nationals are generally exempt from the language exam. Always confirm the current rule with the consulate handling your file, because requirements do change.
Yes. You receive a KHDA-approved certificate from Level Up Knowledge after each level. As for DELE or SIELE, we prepare you for the exam and then guide you through registering for it.
Yes. Online batches follow the same syllabus with the same trainers. So students in Marina, JVC, Silicon Oasis, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah get an identical course without the commute.
Not at all, because A1 assumes no Spanish whatsoever. We teach in English at first, and then shift into Spanish as soon as you are ready for it.
Sit in on a free demo before you enrol. Come to our Bur Dubai centre, or join us online. Tell us your goal, whether that is a DELE certificate, a move to Spain or simply better holidays. Then we will place you in the right level from day one.
