Alphabet & pronunciation
Sounds, umlauts, and reading German aloud without guessing.
Our German language courses in Dubai take you from A1 to C1 with native trainers. Study at our Bur Dubai centre, near Sharaf DG Metro Station, or live online. Every level ends in a KHDA-approved certificate, and we prepare you for the Goethe and TELC exams along the way.
Each level runs for 40 hours. However, you start where you already are, because a short chat in the free demo places you in the right batch.
Greet people and introduce yourself. Handle numbers, time and daily basics. In addition, most family visas ask for this level.
Manage shopping, directions and appointments. Then hold short conversations about your routine and your work.
Talk with colleagues, write emails and describe plans. In practice, this is the usual entry bar for Ausbildung.
Follow lectures and meetings. Argue a point and read the news. For this reason, most German universities ask for B2.
Finally, work and study in German with ease. You write formal reports, and you catch nuance and idiom as you go.
Our German language courses in Dubai build all four skills together: speaking, listening, reading and writing. As a result, you start talking in the very first class, rather than in month three.
Meanwhile, timings suit students right across the city. Bur Dubai, Al Mankhool, Oud Metha, Karama, Satwa and Deira are all a short ride away. Prefer to stay home? The same course runs live online.

Evening batches start after office hours, while weekend batches run on Saturday mornings. However, if you live further out in Marina, JVC, Silicon Oasis or Sharjah, the online batch gives you the same trainer and the same materials without the commute.
German is the most spoken first language in Europe. Moreover, it is the key to the continent's largest economy. From Dubai, therefore, it opens six practical doors.
Public universities charge little or no tuition. However, most German-taught degrees ask for B2, while many foundation courses ask for B1. In short, the language decides the application.
Germany's paid apprenticeship route and its skilled-worker visa both hinge on language. Most employers ask for B1. Some accept A2 to start, provided you keep studying.
Germany recruits nurses and allied health staff from the Gulf every year. Typically, registration needs B1 or B2. As a rule, the language test is the last step before the contract.
Spouse and family reunion visas normally ask for A1 before you travel. That is one level, or roughly 40 hours. Indeed, it is the most common reason students walk into our Dubai centre.
Hundreds of German firms operate in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. For instance, they work in engineering, logistics, pharma and automotive. Consequently, speaking the language moves you from hired to promoted.
German works in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, and parts of Belgium and Italy. Even so, A2 is enough to travel comfortably and talk to people, rather than point at menus.
| Your goal | Level usually required | Exam | Hours with us |
|---|---|---|---|
| Family or spouse visa | A1 | Goethe A1 / TELC A1 | 40 |
| Au pair, basic work roles | A2 | Goethe A2 / TELC A2 | 80 |
| Ausbildung, skilled-worker visa | B1 | Goethe B1 / TELC B1 | 120 |
| Nursing registration | B1–B2 | TELC B1·B2 Pflege | 120–160 |
| University degree in German | B2–C1 | Goethe B2 / TestDaF | 160–200 |
Requirements change by employer, university and visa type. Bring your offer letter to the free demo, and we will confirm the exact level you need.
All three certificates sit on the same CEFR scale, so a B1 is a B1 in each. They differ mainly in who issues them, and in who recognises them most readily.
The Goethe-Institut issues this one, and it carries the widest recognition worldwide. Most universities and employers accept it without question.
TELC is common across Europe for work and integration. It also runs profession-specific exams, such as the B1·B2 Pflege paper for nurses.
TestDaF and DSH are academic papers. German universities ask for one of them before they admit you to a German-taught degree.
Language thresholds are set by the receiving side, not by us. Therefore, confirm yours in writing first. Germany's official portal Make it in Germany publishes the current visa and recognition rules, while your university, employer or chamber confirms its own bar.
Bring that requirement to your free demo class. We will then map it to a level and an exam date, so you study toward something specific rather than studying in general.
Most people who search for German language courses in Dubai are not learning for fun. Instead, they need a result: a university place, a nursing contract, an Ausbildung offer, or a family visa.
A general conversation class rarely gets them there. A year of app-based study rarely produces a certificate anyone accepts either. So we built this course around outcomes instead.
Batches stay small on purpose. As a result, you speak in every session rather than listen to a lecture. We explain grammar in plain English first, then drill it in German.
From A2 onwards, more of the lesson runs in German. That matters, because the Goethe and TELC speaking papers are assessed exactly that way.
Choose a weekday evening batch after work, a Saturday morning group, or live online sessions from anywhere in the UAE. You can also take one-to-one coaching aimed at a fixed exam date. Either way, the syllabus and the trainers stay the same.
Course fees depend on three things: the level you start at, the format you pick, and how many hours you book. Group batches cost less per hour than one-to-one coaching, while online and in-centre sessions are priced the same.
Every fee we quote includes your course material and the KHDA-approved certificate. Nothing is added later.
Goethe and TELC examination fees sit outside the course fee, because you pay those directly to the exam centre when you register. We tell you the current amount before you book, so there are no surprises.
Because batch fees move with intake size and start date, we quote them on request rather than publish a figure that goes stale. Message us on WhatsApp, and you will have the current fee and the next start date the same day.
Flexible payment options are available on longer programmes. If you are working toward B2 and want to spread the cost across levels, say so when you enquire. We will set it out before you commit to anything.
Four steps, and the first two cost you nothing.
Message us on WhatsApp or call. Say what you need German for, because the pathway decides your target level.
Meet the trainer and see how a session runs. A short placement check then confirms where you start.
Choose weekday evenings, Saturday mornings, live online, or one-to-one sessions around your shifts.
Begin your level. We register you for Goethe or TELC once you are passing mock papers consistently.
Fees depend on your level and your format: group, live online, or one to one. Every fee includes course material and the KHDA-approved certificate. Message us on WhatsApp, and we will send the current fee and the next batch date the same day. Goethe and TELC exam fees are paid separately to the exam centre.
Our centre sits in Bur Dubai, a short walk from Sharaf DG Metro Station. Therefore it keeps us within easy reach of Al Mankhool, Oud Metha, Karama, Satwa, Deira and Business Bay. Online classes are open to students anywhere in Dubai and the wider UAE.
A1 takes about 40 hours of class time. Typically, students finish in six to eight weeks on weekday evenings. Alternatively, an intensive batch gets you there sooner.
Yes. You receive a KHDA-approved certificate from Level Up Knowledge after each level. As for the Goethe or TELC certificate, we prepare you for the exam and then guide you through booking it.
Most universities and Ausbildung programmes ask for B1 or B2. Meanwhile, many work and family visas ask only for A1. Tell us your goal in the free demo, and we will map the levels you need.
Yes. Online batches follow the same syllabus with the same trainers. So students in Marina, JVC, Silicon Oasis, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah get an identical course without the commute.
Not at all, because A1 assumes no German whatsoever. We teach in English at first, and then shift into German once you are ready for it.
Sit in on a free demo class before you enrol. Come to our Bur Dubai centre, or join us online. Tell us your goal, whether that is a Goethe exam, a university place or a work visa. Then we will place you in the right level from day one.
